Congratulations to everyone who auditioned! This was undoubtedly the best turn-out of talent I have seen at RHS in MANY years (aside from the Von Trapp children!), and it was a difficult process to cast all of these roles. Whenever possible, I attempted to cast roles against "type," because I want RHS drama to put our own stamp on HSM. We're not setting out to mimic the Disney movie, but to make this production uniquely our own. It was incredible to have a talent pool that allowed that luxury in casting!

If you auditioned and your name is not anywhere on this list, then I made a mistake (unless you were Lesley Genao and said you wanted to work on costumes, or you specifically asked to only be considered for one role). Send me an email (landlesstheatre@gmail.com) and I will add you to the list.

If, for some reason, you wish to decline your role, please send me a quick email at landlesstheatre@gmail.com - but trust me, you will want to be ANY part of this show! It's going to blow the roof off of RHS! Can you tell how PSYCHED I AM??? :)

Rehearsals will begin in January. I am hoping that the scripts will arrive before break so that you can begin working independently. Mondays and Wednesdays will be regular rehearsals with Mr. Johnson (Cheerleaders will rarely, if ever, have to attend). Thursdays and Fridays will be staging and choreography rehearsals with me and the choreographer.

Everyone must be academically eligible to participate. If you are having academic trouble, there are more than a few students in the cast who would be glad to help you study! Amy Broadbent, our drama president, can help you find someone!

Everyone must be financially eligible to rehearse. Make sure your ECA fee is paid this month.

If you are dying to jump into a different "clique" (Brainiac, Thespian, Skater, etc.), that can probably be arranged in January. Students who want to join the cheerleader group will probably have to audition for the choreographer.

A few notes:
* - Understudies. There is usually one student or two who becomes ineligible or quits the show, and understudies are assigned to cover principal roles. It is not necessary for an understudy to attend rehearsals for the understudied role, but actors who need to miss rehearsal should arrange for understudies to attend to cover for them. If an understudy stands in for more than two rehearsals, I will automatically give them one of the three performances.
+ - Jojo, don't be discouraged by the fact that Jack Scott does not appear in the movie. It is a major role written specifically for the stage play.
# - Same for you, understudy Danny Miller.

Congratulations to everyone, and I look forward to a great show!

-Mr. B.
